The Mummy Returns (2001) Original Screen Used Mummy Tomb Scorpion Movie Prop

A scorpion from the production of Stephen Sommers’ 2001 fantasy adventure sequel The Mummy Returns.

The mummy Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) is resurrected again and he seeks to find the legendary Scorpion King (Dwayne Johnson), so it is up to Rick (Brendan Fraser) and Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) to stop him for good.

This scorpion and others like were made for the production and appear in the scene near the beginning of the film when Rick and Evelyn are exploring an Egyptian tomb. They knock down a wall, revealing hundreds of scorpions – both real and prop – which they have to navigate to get where they want to go.

Made of rubber and painted predominantly black, with small patches of red for added detail, this scorpion comes with sand from the set. It has some minor wear from production use but remains in an otherwise excellent condition.
